Who is Boston Health Care Systems, Inc.?
Boston Health Care Systems, Inc. first opened its doors in 1980, under the guidance of Jeff Boston. Jeff is the president of the company. In the beginning, Jeff was the chief cook and bottle-washer, the night staff, the nurse, and anything else that was required. The overwhelming success of Jeff’s first group home resulted in requests for Jeff to open more homes for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness, or dual diagnoses.
Jeff wasn’t totally consumed by his passion for consumers, however. Good fortune led him to Michele! Michele, with degrees and experience in law and psychiatric social work, shared Jeff’s passion for providing the best possible care for their consumers. When Jeff returned to the academic life, pursuing a lifelong love of the study of psychology, Michele took over the day-to-day operation of the company. Jeff is now “Dr. Jeff.” Although he is in private practice, Jeff regularly offers program training, consultation, and financial guidance. Michele is affectionately known as “The Head Bean.”
Jeff and Michele live in St. Paul with their son, Jacob, daughter, Sidney, their three dogs, Moe, Molly, and Star, and anyone else who happens to need a home at any particular time. Most of our facilities bear the names of members of Jeff and Michele’s extended family or close friends.
