Intensive Residential Rehabilitative Mental Health Treatment Services (Theodore I Residence)
Services We Provide…
Theodore I is a 60 – 90 day in-patient intensive program for adults diagnosed with a major mental illness or major mental illness with a secondary diagnosis of chemical dependency. The services provided include:
- Consumer Supervision and Direction: 24 hour daily staffing coverage ensuring the highest quality care.
- Individualized Assessment & Treatment Planning: Includes Diagnostic & Functional Assessments, LOCUS, Alcohol Use Assessment, DALI, and regular progress reviews.
- Living Skills Development: Medication education, cooking and nutrition, household management, budgeting, shopping, etc.
- Illness Management & Recovery: Education regarding mental illness, treatment, coping skills, strategies, and social skills.
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: DBT skills and techniques that enable consumers to cope with stress and emotional vulnerability, and to improve interpersonal effectiveness.
- Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment: Mental health and substance abuse treatment in a single treatment setting and a single treatment regimen through an interdisciplinary approach.
- Family Education: Family members invited to attend a series of informational and supportive sessions (with consumer authorization).
- Development of Health Care Directives & Crisis Prevention Plans: Written to promote consumer choice, ensure consumer safety, and provide the least restrictive options for crisis management.
- Nursing Services: licensed registered nursing staff provides consultation and assistance
- Inter-Agency Case Coordination: Development and implementation of ITP in collaboration with consumer and case manager.
- Client Transition & Discharge Planning: Development and implementation of community transition plan in collaboration with consumer and case manager.

Our DBT groups are modified for individuals with either Axis I or II diagnoses.
